£501 DAMAGES
. » _ AWARDED AGANST A COUNTY COUNCIL. By Association. New Plymouth, September 6. In the Supremo Court, before Mr. Justice Edwards and a jury of twelve, Hilda Simons claimed £501 from the Taranaki County Council on account of injuries received in a motor-car accident on a road within the council's jurisdiction, plaintiff averring that the council was negligent. After two days' hearing, the jury unanimously returned a verdict for the full amount ,claimed.
