• SCHOOLS' COMPETITION. Considerable interest is being shown in the trial game to bo played to-day at Anderson Park between ' the. city aud oountry districts schools. Tho City A and B teams met at Kolburn yesterday for practice, and tho following team was selected: — Goal, C. Eowe (Island Bay); backs; S. Jones (Clyde Quay), R. Wanden (AVadostown); halves, Ward (Marist T), E. Jeffrey (Island Bay), J. Burke (Marist 1$); forwards, Maddocks (Maranui), C. Nash (Marist N), Colomb (Marist N), J. James (Worser Bay), Griffiths (Marist N). Emergencies, L. tfyder (Kilbirnic), H. Taylor (Worser Bay), S. Ledger (Island Bay), Taylor (Tc Aro). . The country district team is:—Goal, Hammond (Porirua); backs, Thompson (Porirua), C. Liddle (Ta,iva Flat); halves, It. Davis, M. Wi Ncera, H. Davis (Porirua): forwards, K. Arthur (Porirua), R. Liddle (Tawa Flat), Mackay (Tawa Flat), Lambert (Porirua), and N.' Wi Neera/' (Porirua). Emergencies, P. ,Parai (Porirua), Cahill (Tawa Flat)'. Mr. F. Bowles will referee. The representative team to meet ■Canterbury will be selected after the above match.
