A sensation occurred at a boxing ring in Blaekfriars, when detectives, uccompauiod by soldiers with fixed bayonets, took possession of the building, ,which was crowded, three thousand spectators being, present for a boxing contost. Tho polico demanded every eligiblo to show his papers and'explain why ho was not in khaki. Instantly tho dodgers and shirkers in tho crowd attempted to escapc, but fifty Were arrested and marched in. procession_ through the streets to the polico station, amid loud applause from wounded soldiers in tho vicinity.
