ANZACS AT MOQUET FARM

Tho "Morning Post's" correspondent at Headquarters, writes: —"Tho first battalion of tho Prussian Guards defended Moquct Farm at Sunday's battle. The Annacs, with irresistible dash, and despito an infernal fire, surrounded the farm, and fully attained their objective. All the prisoners, wounded or unwounded, from this battalion woro then Anzacs's captures. Prior to tho Anpc advance, the British artillery shelled tho enemy's positions with terrific effect. Tho Germans responded with great vigour. Tho Anzacs leapt from the parapets at dawn, and faced not only a shell fire, bat a. cross fire from tho machine-gun s , yet with irresistible dash they gained the enemy's linos, although,-as O no wounded Anzac said, 'Tho infernal machine-guns seemed to be all r ol ind lis.' Mr. Philip Gifabs, in his dispatch to tho "Daily Chroniole," confirms the reports of tho Australians' dash on Moquct Farm. "Tlioy defeated Germany's best , troops," lio says.
