Mr. Percy Crawford, manager of the Horace Goldin Company, lias consented to allow Mr. Horaco Goldin and some of the members of his company to give an entertainment at tlie Returned Soldiers' Club, Lambton Quay, this afternoon. In place of the Ansae Art Uuion scheme advertised by HOWE AND SOWJfAN, Tobacconists, whereby a man with a ticket marked a certain number would traverse Lambton Quay and give £1 to the person asking him if he had the ticket, that the procedure hitherto followed of giving away halfsovereigns to those who, on request, can produce tickets marked "Howe and Sowman" will bo adopted instoad. To facilitate, tho drawing, which will take place at Palmerston North on Friday noxt, tlie Committee has decided to hand over all partly-sold bqoks to Messrs. Howe and Sowman, J. and M. Borman, and Mr. J. B. Speed.*
