MAGISTRATES TO PRESIDE. Tho Justice Departinout has agreed to supply Magistrates to act as chairmen of the four Military Service Boards ■wbicli will hear appeals under the Military Service Act. The Hon. Dr. M'Nab, Minister of Justice, cpnveying this information yesterday,: said that the Department could not hope' to furnish Magistrates for every .hoard that might in the future be set up, if it should, for instance, be found necessary to appoint a board for every recruiting district. There are twenty such districts, but tho Recruiting Board hopes that the four boards, to be set up will ho able to deal with all tho appeals received for some timo to come, perhaps for as long as the Act is in operation.
