Is it right that a conscientious objector should be allowed —as work of national importance—to teach in a school? The Law Society section of London Appeal Tribunal think not; and they received a letter asking why they . had objected The case was ono in which an object was to have undertaken tho position of schoolmaster to' 90 pupils. The .chairman, Mr. Richardson, M.P., said the view of the tribunal was that while tho man was ontitled to hold his views, it was not necessary that ho should be placed in charge of boys, and thus have an opportunity of propagating his views and'encouraging the growth of conscientious objectors. They refused to alter their decision. The Salvation Army Camp Fair will bo opened at tho Army Citadel, Vivian Street, by Brigadier-General Sir A. W. Robin this evening, Commissioner Hodder presiding. This is tho annual fair of the Army, and this year the proceeds will be devoted to social work at the ( military camps.
