BROUGHAM HILL. TENNIS CLUB. The seventeenth annual report of the Brougham Hill Tennis Club states that tin; membership for the past season was 70. No inter-club contests were hold. The. club holds the men's competition, senior, and ladies' competition, senior, junior, and third-class. The following wero the winners of the various club patriotic competitions Misses Fossette, E. Fossettc, Burd, 1. Stevens, E. Stevens, Mrs. N. Burton, Miss Clarke, Mr. 11. Sullivan, Mr. Uphain; Sir. Al'Kclvic. Club menibers wero also 'successful in the following tournaments: —At the AVollington Association's Christmas Patriotic Tournament —Mr. Len France, singles; Messrs. Len France and Leicester, liandicap doubles. At the AVellington i Association's Patriotic Tournament—Mrs. C. Earle (with partner), ladies' championship doubles; Miss I. Stevens and J. A. B. Howe, championship combined doubles; J. A. B. and 11. A 7. Howe, championship doubles; Miss;-Hunt, ladies' handicap singles; Missi I. Stevens and J. A. B. Howe, combined handicap doubles; T. "Ward, handicap singles; H. V. Howe and, J;. A. B. Howe, handicap doubles. Over forty members haVo enlisted,, and already some have fallen in the fight. The committee tenders its thanks to tho Hon. J. G. AV. Aitken, and Sir Kenneth Douglas for donations, and to all members 0 for tho assistance given during the year.
