A FATAL ACCIDENT
YOUNG MAN KILLED AT LAMBTON station: ' ,v A fatal accident occurred .in the : shunting yard at Lanibton Station yesterday; the victim was Alfred James Barber, a young railway porter, -aged 18 years, who had been only' throe • months in the Railway Service. He was crossing the yard and apparently"" did not see a lot of trucks which had been "slipped" by an engine down one of the lines. The leading truck knocked him down and passed over him, causing- -fearful-injuries;; • Barber, was taKon'to the •hospital in -h~ critical'"condition, and; lie succumhcd to bis hurts at 3.40 p.m.
