Sir, —With reference to the agitation recently made in connection with prices of New Zealand frozen meat in London, as compared with Argentine supplies, and to the deputation of farmers who recently, waited on the. Hon. ,W; F. Massey, we have this morning received the . following fcable from' Messrs. Gilbert Anderson and Co., the well known New Zealand agents in London: —

"The present unsatisfactory position in the meat trade is caused by absence of New Zealand supplies. New Zealand prices are fixed by Board ■ ot Trade, while prices of foreign shipments of . meat are 1 uncontrolled.
