♦ WOMAN DRINKS POISON. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, September 1. ' An inquest on the body of Mrs. M'Jtoliie was -held ut Mosgicl to-day. The eridcnco showed that deceased and her husband got on well, except when she took drink. Oil such occasions she becamc hysterical, and often' threatened suicide after having drink. Her husband remonstrated with her on Wednesday morning, asking her to stop drinking, After' asking the husband "to shout" as it was his birthday, deceased went ,to the scullery, and a. few minutes-later the husband followed, and found her. taking .i_ cup from lier lii>s, after drinking poison. Medical aid was scoured, but she died after midnight. ; The Coroner returned a verdict of death from syncope, due to poisoning. BODY.FOUND IN A RIVER. Napier, September 1. ' The. decomposed body of an unidentified man was found lying in tho Tukituki Hirer. at Olive.
