Cattle: Empty heifers, to £5 1256 d.; fat nnd forward cows, to £3 55.; dairy cowb, £7 10s„ £8, £8 10s„ £9 10s., £10 2s. 6d„ ■-• £10 55., £10 7s. 6d„ £10 10s.; dairy heifers, to £7 10s. • V 'jlessrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their .monthly sale at Otaki Yards on Tuesday, when they offered a. medium yarding of sheep and a heavy' yarding, of cattle. Competition "all throngh was sound, ; and keen 1 competition v.-fis elicited' for of stock offered. The principal sales were as under Pat lvethers, 395. 3d.; forward 4 and 6-tooth,
wethers, 325. 4d.; forward ewes, 245. 3d. Cattle: Fat heifers, £5 10s„ £6 13s. to £7 29.; forward empty cows, £6 to £7; empty heifers, £6 10b, to ££; vealers, 375. 6d. to £2; poor-conditioned springing heifers, £5: torwiujd empty, heifers, £5 145.; 2-year-old •steers, £7 10s. to £8 75.; springing cowb, £6 ss. to £10 7s. 6d.; yearling heifers, £3. At tho Levin sale on Wednesday, Messrs. Daleety and 'Company, Ltd., offered a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. In the fat pens were some very good lines ol wethers, one specially good line of 120, on account of the M'Donald Estate, bringing; the satisfactory price of 40s. Other sales were as under Forward owes, 265.; medium ■woolly hoggets, 21s. lOd.; cull hoggets, 15s. sd. to 16s. Id. Oattlc: Fni. cows (light)', .£1 2s. 6d. to £1 18s,; poor-wmdi-tioned .'empty cows, £4 to £5 145.; 18month empty heifers, £4 2s. to £4 125.; 2year steers, £7 to £7 12s. . Some good, dairy cows were also yarded, and eiceedingly lieen competition took place for all offerings, a total elearanoe being made under tho hammer at prices considerably in excess-of vendors' reserves.
