Ferguson, i managing director, who presided, ini formed thoso present that the directors of the company had decided to " purchase certificates for any. of their J employees, and accept repayments at 3 tho small rate of 4d. per weok for each £1 certificate secured. This announcenient was received with applause, and * a motion of appreciation of tho liberj ality of the directors was recorded. 1 Tho chairman called for a voto of . thanks to the Government officer for his stirring appeal ,and this was heartily given:
