By Telegraph — Special Correspondent. Carterton, August 30. A poll" was taken hero to-day on the question of raising a £15,000 loan for the extension of the waterworks and improving -the gasworks. The' result was:— Water loan (£l2,ooo)—For, IS3; against, 104. Gas loan (£3OOO) —For, 196; against, 98. Botdi proposals wore carried.
