The head office of tho Commonwealth anil Dominion Line advise that the Port Napier left Capetown on August 16 in continuation of her voyage, from London to Australian ports, Auckland, and Napier. She is due in Wellington about October 2. Tho Port Napier is a liner of 10,641 tons, and Captain Complon is in charge. ,
Captain M'Donald, who was formerly chief officer of the Willochra, and who loft Wellington lafit year in command of tho Uaupiri (recently .<unk). arrived in New Zealand last week, und will take temporary cliaj-go of the Rakanoa, in place of Captain Render, who is one leave. On account of delay at LyLtellon, the Ko-mona will not leave Wellington for New Plymouth until Thurfday, at noon. She will receive New Plymouth cargo up to 10.30 a.m. Mr. Tart, chief officer on the Rcgulus, having 'signed off to go as signalman at Wcstport, Mt. Baggarl, formerly 'second officer, has token his place, and Mr. G. S. King has ioincd as second. Tho Brisbane ftiver will call at Wellington at about the end of this week for the purposo of replenishing her bunker*. The vessel is on her way from New York to Australian ports. The Ngatoro is expected to come off tho Slip and be ready' to sail for' Greymouth on Tuesday next. Captain A. W. M'Kcllar, who has been ashore on account of his father's death, has again taken charge of tho Kaikoura. Mr. A. F. Morton; who has acted a.s master during his absence, has reverted to tho position of chief officer. Advice, was received yesterday to tho effect that- the American schooner F. ,T. Wood arrived at Port Tonnsond on August. 16 from Bunedin. which latter port she sailed from on June 7. * Captain L. C. Adkins. who has been an extra officer on the Kowh'ai, has aiow signed on as master. Captain Charles Elders has siened off tho Kowhai, and has joined the Te Anau. Captain I). E. Smith has signed off the To Anau. Tho Wimmera, which left Wellington for Melbourne, via southern ports, on August 19, arrived in Melbourne yesterday, and on completion of dlschargo she will go into dock for annual overhaul. She is expected to leave Melbourne for New Zealand again on September 23. The Kapiti. which comes off tho Slip this morning, is oxpected to sail for Wfingn.nui this evening. Tlie Arawa, having arrived in Tlobart on Sunday, is due here next Sunday.
