SHEARER'S PAY
FEDERATED SHEEPOWNEBS' RECOMMENDATIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, August 29. Mr. Labatt, secretary of the New Zealand Shccpownere' Federation, informed a reporter to-day that the council of tho Federation had decided to recommend members to pay shearers '2s. Gd. per hundred as a war bonus, in addition to the rate of £1 laid down under tho agreement entered into between the Shearers' Federation and the various shcepowners' unions in 19L1, prior to tho commencement of tho war. Ho also stated that the Sheopownors 1 Federation had decided to adhere to tho terms of the award mado by the Arbitration Court on August 16, 1015, in the Marlborough district, in respect to wages to shed hands and cooks. Tho terms of this award have since boon made to apply to the whole Dominion.
