Five cases of cerebrospinal meninfitis are at present in the military oGpitnls. General Henderson, Director of Medical Services, told a Dominion reporter yesterday that three of these oases had been removed from the "son". ous" list. The remaining two cases were improving. No additional cases of this diseatie had been reported during the day. General Honderson mentioned that a number of men, drawn chiefly from the Eighteenth Reinforcements, liad been admitted to hospital at Featherston, mainly suffering from measles. The outbreak was of a mild character, the measles being of the type known as German. All necessary precautions_ in the way; of isolation and fumigation were being taken. N The cleansing of Trcntham Camp is practically complete, and the warm weather experienced during tho last few days has done much'to make matters more, comfortable there. It is possible that some additional measures will be undertaken by the Defence Department on the recommendation of a committee of medical health officers recently summoned by the Health Department. This committeo has been making a thorough examination of the' camp, and lias also studied other matters pertaining to the' health of the troops. - '
