ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS
ANNUAL MEETING.
The annual meeting of the Academy of Fine Arts was held last evening. Mr. H. M. Gore presided. The report and balance-sheet (already published) were adopted. The election of olßcers resulted: — President, Mr. H. M. Gore; vice-presi-dents,. Messrs. H. ])". Von Haast and J. Ellis; council, Mesdames Hannah, ,T. A. Tripe, Miss D. K. Kiehinond, Messrs. A. Atkins, W. A. Bowring, T. S. 'Weston, C. Wilson, and A. T. Bate j treasurer,. Mr. J. M'Donald; auditori Mr. C. D. Morpeth. It was mentioned that tho annual report had omitted to record tho death of two old members, Messrs. J. R. Blair and J. M. Richardson, who had died during the year. Both had done good service for the Academy. Thanhs were expressed to the Hon Dr. Collins, Messrs. C. Haines, and J A. Tripe; who,- though not members ot tlie council, had shared with the cfwncil the liability of overdraft during the year.
