' A smoke concert Vi'as hold in "Charle's Aunt" Club'rooms, Courtenay Placo, in honour of Mr. H. Atkinson, who has resigned from tho tramway service after twelve years' 'service. The chairman (Mr. King) expressed pleasuro at tho largo gathering assembled to do honour to Mr. Atkinson. Musical itemß wero given by Messrs. H. W. Cooke, A. Mills, A. Outuwaite, M. Houeheri, M'Lean, J. Bryant, M'Cullougb, and .T. Hammil. Tho toast-list included "Our Guest" and "Absent Friends and Comrades." Mr. Daloy, in presenting Mr. Atkinson with a pnrso of gold, remarked that their guest was deservedly the most popular man in tho sheds. Mr. Atkinson suitably replied.
