HEALTH OF THE CAMPS
ONE MORE DEATH. jSurgegn-Qoneral Henderson, Director of Medical Services, made a statewent yesterday concerning the health pf tho troopp in Trentham and Featheraton Camps. General Henderson stated that of tha two suspicious oases of cerebrospinal meningitis at Trentham, which he announced on Saturday, one had proved to be shffering from that complaint and the other was'not. This fresh cerebro-spinal meningitis caso, however, did not appear to ,be of a severo type, and was responding readily to treatment. Of the three remaining cerebrospinal meningitis cases at Trentham one, curiously enough, had now developed measles, while tho cerebrospinal meningitis was _in abeyance. All three cases w'ore going satisfactorily. Out of thirty-three men who attended sick parade at Trentham yesterday morning not ono was admitted to hospital.; At Feat hers ton, he regretted to say, there had been another death. This was the caso of Pto. Albert Joseph Grover,E Company, Nineteenth Reinforcements, who died in Featherston Military Hospital~at 4.15 a.m. on Sunday from broncho-pneumonia following irieasles. Ho had been seriously ill in hospital for some days. Otherwise, matters at Featherston wero proceeding _ The remaining cerebro-spinal meningitis case was holding his own. The health of tho troops generally at Featherston was .good, and tho same applied to Tauherenikau.
