"THE BIRTH OF A NATION"
To-morrow (Tuesdav) evening, at 8 sharp, in the Main Town Hall. J. C. Williamson, Ltd., -will present tho great picture spectacle, "The Birth of a Nation." The season will be for nine nights, and a matinee will be Riven on Saturday next, when children will bo admitted at half price. D. W. Griffiths was eight months making the entire production. During that time he employed a small army of men and women to get the desired results. Over eighteen authorities were consulted to get tho proper atmosphere into the scones in which President Lincoln appears. The great battle scenes were also the first ever taken by a motion picture camera at night. The scenes showing the escape of the refugees from Atlanta, the bonfire offeets in Piedmont, and tie great red battle effects were all realised by night photograhy. A large operatic orchestra, under the eonductorship of Mr. Horace Keata (London), will be a feature of the production. The box plans for the entire season are now open at the Bristol.. There is no extra charge for booking.
