WHO IS THE TRAITOR?
Sir, —The people of the Dominion want to know who he is; and the rcaBon is, when our men do a brave and noble act their names are published all over tho world as an example and object lesson for all to copy, if they can. We all admire acts of devotion to King and country in theso savage war times, for the Allies are fighting in defence of law and liberty; for what is life to our wives and families if we do not possess true liberty and live in a democratic country P When a soldier deserted from the Imperial Forces in the Maori War, was his name withheld from the public? No. Everyone knew, and'a reward was offered for his arrest. Now, what is the reason the present traitor's name is not given? "It is false modesty and not playing the game"; by all means let us know tho roan's name. It has never been withheld before, why now?
