REPORTED CAPTURE IN A NET Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. - New York, August 25. The City News Association quotes an unnamed British captain, who has arrived at New York- from Britain, as 3tating that the Bremen has been captured in the English Channel. Thirtythree of tho crew were taken prisoners, and two were accidentally killed. Tbo Bremen was caught in a net. CAUGHT !N A NET. AN UNCONFIRMED STORY. , (Roc. August 26, 5.5 p.m.) New York, August 25. While preparations are being niado at New London for the arrival of the Bremen, an officer of the liner Baltic, which has arrived at New York, asserts that the British captured the Bremen off Dover, the suhnmrinc being caught in a not, and the crow taken prisoner. Tho story is unconfirmed. CARGO FOR THE BREMEN IF SHE REACHES AMERICA. New York, August 25. The Norddcutchcr-Lloyd steamer Willehad, which has been chartered by tho German Under-Sea Company, made a fast dash and was docked in Now London to-day. A cargo of nickel and rubber is being loaded aboard a barge at Baltimore for transportation to New London. It is understood it will form the Bremen's return cargo if sho arrives. THE DEUTSCHLAND. CONGRATULATORY TELEGRAM. (Rcc. August 27, 5.5 p.m.) Amsterdam, August 26. Mr. Gerard, American Ambassador at Berlin, sent a congratulatory telegram to tho owners of the Deutschland. The "Munchner Zeitung" interviewed Mr. Gerard, who praised the Deutschland's achievement, and pointed out there was great sympathy for tho Deutschland in the United States.
