Unless otherwise specified, registered letters and parcels-post packages must be handed in and money-orders obtained, ono hour before the ordinary mail closes. All books and sample-packets and newspapers for places within the Dominion must be posted half an hour before the ordinary letter mail close 1 !. .?l.e parcel-post mail per Main Trunk express closes at the G.F.O. at 11.30 a.m., and for the *South per ferry steamer at 5.45 p.m. The advertised time for closing mails by steamers are liable to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. As the last clearance or this City receivers is made at 5.45 p.m. on Saturdays, all correspondence for the Sunday night Auckland express must be posted at the Chief Post Office not later than 8 p.m. on Suudny.
