PROGRESS OF THE ITALIANS Australian-New Zealand Gable Association. Rome, August 24. An Italian official communique stales: "We gained new positions in the Fassa Alps and occupied a point in Fossernoca Valley, which the enemy violently regained, bilk were finally ejected."
(Rec. August 25, 9.25 p.m.) - London, August 25. Hie Exchange Telegraph Agency's Rome correspondent states that the Italians aro fourteen miles from Trieste. They hold all the enemy's second line, and portion of the third line to- Monfalcone. The combatants occupy opposing lines on the heights. The Italians continue their slow advance.
