* DOMINION AWARD FRAMED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch,' August 2'2. Tho Coachmakere' Workers' Industrial Union, met the employers at the Conciliation Council last night, and framed a Dominion award. Tho principal clauses are as follow: A 47-hoiirs week from 7.30 to 5.30 on five days and from 7.30 to noon on one day. Wages: Journeymen coachmakers, Is. 6d. per hour, overtime at the rate of one and a quarter for the first three hours and one and a half afterwards, double for Sunday, Christmas, and Good Friday. Wages of apprentices First year, Ss. a week; second, 12«. 6d.; third, 17s. 6d.; fourth, £1 55.; fifth, £1 los. One apprentice to every two journeymen or; fraction thereof; one helper to each department except tho smith shop, whero there shall bo one helper for cacli fire. Helpers' wages, from 10s. a week for the ages of IS to 16 years to Is. an hour for those over 21.
