SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
The annual concert of tho Wellington Girls' College is always looked forward to with interest at the Sailors' Friend Society. Last night's concert was no exception to the rule, as shown by the re-demand pieces which were given under the direction of the Misses Heath arid Ward. The items wero given by Mrs. Dawson, the Glee Club, and the Misses El. Mann, Farquhar, S. Udy, E. Waldie, X. Jloncrieffe, llacdiarmi'tl, Robertson, H. .Tefferies, M. Sawyer, F. Churchill, J. Sutherland, A! M'Caw, I). Powley. C. Rayward. The competition again caused much fun. Mi-. Moore, missioner, was in the chair, and spoke on "And next?" in relation to temperance. Miss M'Lean, the principal, responded to the hearty vote of thanks.
