THE WAR BONUS
TO BE PAID IN TWO INSTALMENTS. Cabinet decided on Saturday thali tho war bonus to Civil Servants should bo paid in two instalments. The first half will be paid forthwith, and tho remainder immediately before Christmas. One difficulty that occurs in connection with tho bonus is that many State employees are paid a daily rate of wage. Tho bonus for these men will he computed by an addition to their daily wage, so that if a man loaves the service ho shall not necessarily lose tho war. bonus accrued due to Km.
