LIQUOR RESTRICTIONS IN SCOTLAND
OBJECTIONS RAISED BY CLYDE ! WORKERS. ("The Times.") , (Roc. August 19, 5.5 p.m.) London, August 18. Tho Clyde trades sent a deputation to interview Mr. Tennant (Secretary for Scotland) against tho imposition of further liquor restriction in Glasgow, these including the closing of hotels from 9 O'clock on Saturday night until Tues- ! day morning. Tho deputation declared ■ that this would probably cause strikes. Mr. Tennant promised to consult Mr. i Asquith on tho point. i
