A POLICE RAID

♦ THIRTEEN ARRESTS MADE. Haining Street was the scene of another police raid between 7 and 8 o'clock last night. Four houses, occupied by Chinese, were raided, and 13 Europeans and Chinese were, arrested, and a large quantity of pak-a-poo accessories seized. The raid was carried out by SeniorSergeant Dew, Detectivo Andrews, Sergeants Scott and Cruickshank, and a number of constables. Mr. George Petherick, J .P., admitted the men arrested to bail. They will appear before the Magistrate's Court fins morning.
