FRENCH CLUB

At the French Club's- meeting on Wednesday evening there was a concert which had been arranged by tho Misses Van Stavcrcn. Mrs. Fordham and Mr. Foster .gave piano solos. Songs* were' siing by Misses Driseol] and U. Van Staveren, and Messrs. Moore and Cooko. Perhaps the most ltfteresting musical item was a trio of violin, lias's viol, and piano by th'o .Misses Henry. There was a comedy, ."La Lettro Chargee," in which Misses Allan and M'Diarmid and Messrs. Fob. ter and Chapman took'part. Miss Hind moved, and Sir. Whetton seconded a hearty vote of thanks to the promoters, and to those who had given tfi'eir services. Tho singing of "La brought tho evening to a close.
