NAVY LEAGUE
A meeting of the local executive of the Navv League oil Tuesday night was attended by Mr. J. B. Harcourt (chairman), Messrs. B. Darrocli, 0. B. Smith, A. F. Wiren, A. Atkins, F.8.1.8.A., and C: W. Palmer Concessions were reported as having boen made by H.M. Customs and the G.P.O. in connection with shipments of "The Navy." It was mentioned that 'a statement of accounts had been handed to the league auditors (Messrs. Gold and Arcus) with a view to the holding of the annual meeting shortly. _ ; Mr. B. W. Shallorass was appointed to succeed Mr. C. W." Palmer as secretary of the branch. The allotment of duties between the hon. secretary and the lion, treasurer (Mr. B. Darrocli) was left in the hands of a Bub-commit-tee, consisting of Messrs. C. B. Smith, K. Darroch, C. W. Paluior, and B : . W. Shnllcrass. It 'was decided to hare 5000 forms of membership appeal printted for circulation; also notices of a meeting of ladies in connection with the resuscitation of the women's, section of the league.
