PLAYER SUSPENDED. The weekly meeting of tho Rugby Union Committee was held last evening, Mr. D. Weir presiding. A man who the committee decided had given false evidenco in the case of a player who hit an opponent in a. match at the College ground on Saturday, August 5, and who also refused to givo his namo to tho reforco, was severely reprimanded by the chairman, who concluded by hoping that lie would not bo before tho committee again.. A player in the fifth-class match, Oriental v. l'etohe, last Saturday, who disputed the referee's decision with regard to a try, was'suspended for two playing Saturdays.
