The drawing of the, art union for a' pair of hand-knitted silk socks presented by Mrs. R.-G. Baxter, Caulliclrl House, in aid of the Sailors' and Dependants' Fund, took place, at the Mayor's room, Town Hall, yesterday afternoon. The lucky ticket was No. 37. As a result of -Sio raffle, £10 has been banded over to tho fund. Mrs. F. Ward is visiting Christchurch.
