ATTEMPTED SUICIDE
SYRIAN'S RASH ACT.

An attempt to, commit suicide was made by a Syrian Who was arrested today on warrant of commitment for debt. Ho was in charge of a constable, and asked leave to 'use a- slot telephone. While in the telephone box he produced a razor which he had in his pocket and drew it across his throat. The man, whose name is Najib Bouzaid, is in a critical condition.
