Washington, August 11. The Demoeratio members of the Senato Finance Committee, in order to lesson the present burden on munition makers, propose to fix a flat raiV tax of 10 per cent, on net profit and to abolish the export tax. The scheme is to be made retrospective since the beginning of 1016, and to become inoperative one yeai after the close of the war. .
It is estimated that the revenue gained will be nino million pounds a yeat
