; AND BRITONS IN TURKISH HANDS. Australian-New Zealand Cable London, August 10. Mr. Forstcr, in the House of Commons, said that the number of Turkish prisoners in British hands totalled 425 officers and 9598 men,, not including the recent Egyptian captures. . Lord Robert Cccd said that Turkey had been warned in July that she would lie responsible for losses sustained by British subjects, and tho warning had since been renewed,-especially -with regard to the treatment of combatants. i
