Flying Start beat San Sebastian over seven furlongs in lmin. SB 2-ssec. Jeannot and Melford ran five furlongs in lmin. 9 2-ssec. Battle Eve ran half a mile in Kteeo. Union Jack, Nita, Queen's Post, and Fagot woro in that order at the end of a mile in lmin, 58sec. ICaminohe ran six furlongs in lmin. "toe., Meltehikoff and Aurore slightly bettering that time. • Marconi and Harbour Lidit b<-nt Styrax over ten furlongs in 2min. 20 2-5 sec. Gold Soult beat George over five furlongs, the last half-mile taking sfcec. Art ran a miTo in lmin. Hi 2-3 sec. Twelfth' Night and Speedometer beat Borke's Drift over six furlongs. A large number of jumpers- were schooled. TVaimni. gave a good display over a round of tho fences with Karangi, who ran off at the double. Merry Lad, Not- York, and Tho Brewer went one# round. over tho fences, all jumping well. Selwood went with them, but did not jump se well, and fell" at the last fenoo. ' - Precious metal wont onco round tho fences-safely. Free jumped faster than Mnlticipnl over two hurdles. " Black Sea gave a good exhibition of fencing with Recharge, who fell nt the hurdle beside the post and rail fence.' Lady Bibbero gave a good display of fencing' with" Bravest,. who had more paoo, but who jumped only fairly, and ran off at the double. ' Wellwood, Critic, Traditor, and Ikowai did a rouud of the fences, jumping well. Uladful jumped well a round of the hurdles/' r Trireme, who went with him, jumped fairly, well,. f : St. Elmn and Tenacious were much. better' than Sarkosta in a round of tho hurdles. ' . Golden -March, and Sir Solo did a similar task, Golden March,, saing the better at the finish. '
