CLYDE MUNITIONS WORKERS
A WEEK'S REST DEMANDED. ("Tho Times.") London, August 9. A conference of Clyde, workers discussed a telegram from the Minister of Munitions .requesting them to con; tinuo work. It was resolved unanimously that periods of rest are essential to health. A week's holiday at-tha end of August was suggested. ■ SCHEME OP RELAY RESTS . IMPRACTICABLE. (Rec. August 10, 7.10 p.m.)' London, August 10. Mr. Arthur Henderson's Committee on Munitions Holidays reports that no . goneral scheme for relays of holidays is practicable, owing to the urgent need of keeping up supplies, but where possible four days' rest will be given at the end of Soptember, which will also enable the machinery to be overhauled. INCREASE FOR STEEL WORKERS. London, August 9. The Government Committee has awarded the Scottish steel workers a penny an hour increase since May 18.
