DAIRYING IN THE MANAWATU
NEW CHEESE FACTORY TO BE ERECTED.
(Special Correspondent.) Palmorston North, August 9.
Settlers in the Linton district decided to go in for cheese, after eonsid-. ering the matter at a meeting <f set-: tiers Held last night at Mr. A. residence, "Ravcnswood." The new enterprise is to be known as |the Ravonswood Co-operative Cheese Company, and' a guarantee of 300 cows to start with has been given. A contract was let to Mr. .R: Maunder: to erect sn up-to-date factory .on a; site .about' two miles on the Palmerston side, of Linto u. The factory will be of t?to-vat capacity, but capable of expansion to' three vats, whilst; the' cheese-room.' has been designed on convenient lines. The work of erection is'to be commenced' immediately,'and the factory cltovld be' ready for .operations on November 1.
