"DOPE" SUICIDES IN HUN DUG-OUTS
MIXTURE OF OPIUM AND ETHER. (United Services.) (Rcc. August 9, 7.5 p.m.) London, August 8. An Australian officer found in'a dugout two German officers, who Lad "doped" themselves to death, preferring suicide to capture. A medical examination of the "dope" found in numerous dug-outj disclosed the fact that it was a mixture of opium and ether.
