MAN STABBED

AFFAIR IN THE STREET. ? A man named Archibald Grant, residing in Upper Willis Street, was ad. mitted to the Hospital last evening, suffering from a kmfo wound in the left shoulder. From the information which could be gathered, it was ascertained that Grant had been working on a "special service steamer," and as he walked along Abel Smith Street from Cuba Street in tho direction of Willis Street some person, or persons, unknown attacked him and stabbed him in tho left shoulder: Grant was ad. mitted to the Hospital at 9.25 p.m., and on inquiries late last night it was ascertained that the wound was not of a serious nature. The police are investigating the 'matter.
