New Yorlt, August 8. Tho New York "Times" prints tho following dispatch- from the London correspondent of a Providence journal :—"A AVar Offico official informs ino that there is good reason why the Allied troops at Salonika arc not taking part in tho drive. Great Britain and France do not want a conflict with the Bulgarians, because they consider it probable that they may induce Bulgaria to desert the Teutons and co-operato with Russia. Tho official asserts that many Bulgars have been withdrawn from the front lines. Tho dismissal of M. Sazanoff (Russian Foreign Minister) removed the last barrier to the Rumanian desiro to join the Allies. Moreover, a great mass of tho Bulgars never favoured a break with Russia, and the Balkan Powers have been tremendously influenced by tlio recent Teutonic defeats on all fron^."
