KHANDALLAH DEBATING SOCIETY

At tho meeting of the above society held' on Tuesday evening the subject was a debate, "That public advertising does more harm than good." The affirmative was taken by Mr. J. M. Dale, Miss Bathain, Messrs. G. Burt, J. 11. Meadowcroft-, arid A. E. Budd, while the negative was takon by Messrs. W. Appleton, E. N. M. Hogben, E. Hobbs, E. Noes, C. Jones, and J. H. Richardson. Tho debate was a very lively one, and a great doal was saidl oil the merits and demerits of public advertising. On the resolution being put tho affirmative was lost by a' substantial majority. At tho next meeting a mock parliament will bo held, when Sir. C. Joiies will bring down a Daylight Saving Bill.
