» FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY, Present indications aro for freshening westerly winds generally for a. squall area likely to pass shortly in the south. Weather unsettled, cspcciolly in and southward of Cook Strait, with rain on tlie West Coast and southern districts. The barometer has a rising tendency in the north, but a falling one in tho south. Atmospherio pressure has increased, and is now about normal in the North Island. littin fell in many parts o£ tho Dominion during Monday night, but tho weather has improved generally to-day.
