SATURDAY'S GAMES. At Athletic Park on Saturday the prinprincipal game was between Athletic and Old Boys Third Class. In the first half Athletic had a good chancc and managed to score 10 points. After half-time, however, Old Boys kept the ball in their opponent's'quarters, and scored It points. The ground was soft and the play fairly slow. For Athletic; Cunningham and Lockett scored tries, both being converted by Robinson. For Old Boys, Lewis, Carr, and Coulton scored tries, the last being gained in the final miuute. Coulton converted liis try. Old Boys thus won by 11 points to 10. The Fourth Class match Petone v. Selwyn _ resulted in a win for Selwyn by 5 points to 3. The scores were: Petone, a try by C. Ryan, and Selwyn a try by Jlardon, which was converted by Watson.

The Fifth Class match Athletic v. St. Patrick's College, resulted in a ( win for tho former by 8 points to 5. At Petone. tho local team defeated Oriental by 11 to nil. Mr. L. Simpson controlled the game. In the fifth grade, Petone fcored 11 against Selwyn (nil). Mr. E. Smyrk was tile referee.

At Lower. Hutt, St. James were defeated by tho local fourth class team by 25 to nil.

In tho fifth grade St. .Tames defeated Hutt by 11 to nil.
