MONEY FOR THE WAR
THE BIG LOCAL LOAN.
As stated by Sir Joseph Ward, the total amount of money that the Government requires to raise this year in the Dominion for war purposes is .£8,000,000. "The prospectus will be announced in a few days. The debentures will be, issued in sums of from J!5 upwards. Tho rate of interest will be dj per cent., and the inoome derived therefrom will be free from income tax.
