I mentioned the other day that the War loan was good, because llv. Harry louder was seen giving an order to his broker. Well, the transaction is now completed, and 1 am authorised to state (writes "Alert II" in the "Financier") that the amount of the purchase was no less than .£15,000. The canny comedian bought just before the battle of Jutland took place, and is undoubtedly on a sure thing. Whether the purchase represents the investment of Mr. Lauder's phenomenal earnings or whether he was acting for a syndicate I am unable to say.
