Tho writer of Cluirch Notes in the "Northern Daily Mail," West Hartlepool, says: "A clergyman of this town was at the War Offico last year talking to tho Chaplain-General, who told him ■they had prayer .meetings at the War Office every day at twelve o'clock, and as often as not Lord Kitchener turned in. T asked to bo allowed to mention the fact at tho time, but the' answer was: 'No; Kitchener would hate to be talked about.'"
