~ Messrs. Dalgety and :■ Co., Ltd., report ..having held their monthly Otaki sale on when they offered a heavy yarding of both sheep and cattle. Most classes "of sheep met with good_ competition, also "cattle, and by the end of the 'sale they '-report practically a .total clearance under -the hammer. Quotations:—Mixed age ewes .in lamb, to 205.; 2 and '4-tooth ewes in lamb, to 28s. 9d.; sound-mouthed ewes in 'lamb, to 275. Bd.; shorn hoggets, to 15s. "9d.; fat maiden ewes, to 305.; fat wothers, to 345. fid.; springing cows, £5 55.. £6 12s. -4d.. £8 10s., £8 15s. to £9 10a.; 18-monthß -wethers, £4 <js. to 5 guineas; fat cows, to '.ill 55.; yearling steers, to £2 35.; yearling Jicifers, 345.; weaner heifers,. 23s. # to 365.; "18-month steers, to £4 95.; fat heifers, £5 ' 2s. 6d. to £6 12s. 6d.; empty cows, £5 12s. -6d. to £7 175.; cows, in milk. £8, £10, £10 ■10s. A good yarding of, dairy cows was ■submitted, and realised very satisfactory .prices. 1 . . , Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly sale in "their Waipoua (Masterton) sale yards, on -Wednesday, when they offered a small '-yarding of sheep and cattle. There was -fair competition, and a total clearance ,of sheep, but'only a fair clearance of .pattle, was made at the following prices:— "Fat and forward wethers, 335. lid.; 2-tooth "lo f.m. ewes in lamb to S.D. ram, 335. 9d.; f.m. ewes in lamb to S.D. ram, 245. '6d.; S.D. hoggets, 215.; shorn hoggets. 18s. 6d.; •woolly .hoggets, 19s. 6d. Cattle: Pat cows, £12 12s. 6d.; 3-year bullocks, £10 155.; 2jear dairy heifers, £5; 3-year dairy heifers on drop, £8; springing cows, £6 lfo. to £7.
